ENM electrophoretic mobility.
Electrophoretic mobility was measured using a Malvern Zen 3600 Zetasizer (Zetasizer Nano, Malvern,Worcestershire, UK). All measurements were performed within 6 months after the sample preparation.
All the nanomaterial stock suspensions were diluted to 10 mg/L using the corresponding background solutions (deionized water, 0.01% SDS and 200 mg/L tannic acid). For each diluted sample, electrophoretic mobility was measured at pH 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. 1M HCl, 0.1 M HCl, 1M NaOH and 0.1 M NaOH were used to adjust the pH.
Disposable capillary cells (DTS 1060, Malvern Instrument) were used for all electrophoretic mobility measurement. For each sample, 3 measurements were performed and each measurement consisted of 10 runs.
