Toxicity test method

Suspension preparation method
10 mg / 50 mg TiO2 NT was added to 10 mL/50 mL ultrapure water generated by a Barnstead EPure system (Thermo Fisher Scientific, Waltham, MA) in a 10 -mL / 50 -mL centrifuge tube, and sonicated in a sonicating cup horn ( sonics & Material, Newtown, CT) at 100 W for 30 min. The samples were stored at room temperature in a 10 -mL / 50 -mL centrifuge tube wrapped in aluminum foil for up to 1 week before use.

Particle size measurement method

ENM electrophoretic mobility measurement.

Footnotes:
  1. Number mean hydrodynamic diameter nm. Measured by dynamic light scattering (Zetasizer Nano, Malvern, Worcestershire, UK)
  2. Measured at ~pH 5.
